To the Tower

'To the Tower' - a new illustration with a little backstory.

"It's a steep climb and no ones knows what awaits you there. Many people have tried to reach it before, most didn't even make it to the other side. If you do make it let me know what's there, there at the tower."

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day! Sending you imaginary tasty treats to dive into and share with people you care about.
Art things - I wanted to experiment with a really different colour palette and subject matter from my usual work. I don't think I've ever painted with so much pink/red before. Pretty fun painting chocolate and icing, but raspberries are surprisingly time consuming to paint!

Autumn Flying - Flying off to Essen Spiel'16

Autumn themed illustration of a girl flying in leaf with all her possessions.

Also, ties into me flying off to Essen Spiel this year. I won't be flying a leaf but it's definitely an exciting destination!

Adventures in Middle-Earth Illustrations

Working with Cubicle 7 to create illustrations for Adventures in Middle-Earth RPG. I really enjoyed illustrating these pieces, especially delving into the Elvish world as the explorer discovers the ruined history of his people.

Darkrock Ventures - Board Game

Another belated update! Last year I worked once again with Michael Coe founder of Gamelyn games on the Darkrock Ventures title. It was really great to experiment with a new theme of sci-fi and aliens, definitely something I would like to work with more!

Hands in the Sea - Board Game Cover

Just a little update first in the new year and a bit delayed!

I worked on the Hands in the Sea Box Art for Knight Works Games. The theme was Roman Warships battling on stormy sea. Nothing quite so fun as painting stormy sky and rough sea!

Dead Drop - Card Deck

I worked with Patrick Nickell again creating one of the card deck options for Dead Drop (board game). The theme was suspicious Vikings, and it was great to get another opportunity to create fun looking Viking characters.

Ophir - Board Game

I worked on Ophir with the lovely people at Terra Nova Games. The theme was based around the legendary city of Ophir, with it's prosperous trade routes and wealthy population.

Illustrations and art by me, graphics by Robert Garza.

Pay Dirt - Board Game

Catching up with updates! I worked on Pay Dirt with Patrick Nickell founder of publisher Crash Games this year and last. Pay Dirt is a modern day gold rush scenario where you have to manage your resources and battle the freezing elements.

Illustration and art created by me, graphics created by Darrell Louder.

Viking Pride!

I had loads of fun with this piece. It was my first official personal piece of 2014, it's just taken me so long to get around to uploading it.

Hope you like him :)

River Environment

It has been a very long time since my last artwork post, which is kind of inexcusable! I'm going to blame moving twice in the past 4 months for my inactivity, over 400 miles in fact.

Anyhow.....a new River type Environment painting. I just had to let this piece go, I've been working and obsessing over it for too long. So, I hope you like :)
